How will weather affect my connection?

Weather will affect your airPowered connection as much as it does your cell phone. AirPowered provides terrestrial based service between our tower and your office.  This is to be distinguished from satellite service which must traverse the clouds.  Not only will your airPowered connection stay online during a heavy downpour, your latency and bandwidth will be unaffected.

Do I have to buy the equipment?

No.  airPowered owns the equipment that is installed at your location.

Do you have static IPs available?

Yes. Larger IP subnets are also available with proper justification.

What’s your response time should I have a problem?

Your business and Internet connection are a priority for us. We assume ALL of our customers rely on their Internet connection to conduct day to day business and as such, we treat your issues accordingly. The only exception here is if there are any safety issues preventing our staff from servicing your problem. This may come in the form of a hurricane, lightning storm, or other force majeure.

Is there a limit to how much data I can transfer?

You are limited only by your download/upload speed in Mb. An exception to this would be a violation of our Terms of Service (provide link to Terms of Service).

Can I run VoIP on it, is there QoS?

On the airPowered network, voice packets are prioritized using QoS. We have several VoIP providers we work with to better prioritize your VoIP traffic. You will need to let us know that you have VoIP and who your VoIP provider is so we can verify that the appropriate settings are in place. If you are using a VoIP provider for which we do not have a profile, we will work with that provider to determine what settings are appropriate for your service.

How’s your uptime?

Since airPowered eliminates miles and miles of possible wire issues (telephone poles, lines being dug up, etc) we typically exceed the uptime of our competitive technologies like DSL, Cable, T1s, etc.

Do I need any special equipment?

No special equipment is needed.

How much bandwidth can I get?

With dedicated radios we can provide in excess of 100Mb. Call us for details.

What kind of problems should I expect?

No service is perfect.  The biggest issue surfaces at the time of install.  If something blocks the customer premise radio from “seeing” the tower the installation will not be able to be completed.  Once the service is successfully installed generally there are not any problems.

How fast can I get it?

This depends on our current installation schedule.  We can often install the next day and have installed as early as the same day of request.

Do you have a coverage map?

We have a way to pre-qualify you.

Why do you charge for installation?

Our pricing has recently changed! Please call us at 352-253-2200 or send us an email at sales@airpowered.com to find out more information.

Do I have to sign a contract?

We require a two-year contract. For special circumstances please call us.

Can I upgrade or downgrade service during my term? How?

You can upgrade your service at any time.  Downgrading will require a renewal of your term.

Is it secure? HIPPA compliant?

airPowered uses military grade encryption that makes your connection secure. We are not WiFi and are not vulnerable to ‘hackers’ due to the proprietary Motorola modulation technology.

DID WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTION?
